Mission Statement
Our mission is to help you reach your goal of being a confident and highly qualified Emergency Medical Technician. The way that we accomplish this is by working with you - helping you acquire all of the various skills and high quality initial training. Once you become an EMT, we support your career with refresher training and continuing education programs for all levels of EMS providers. Giving you the tools and knowledge to have a solid foundation in the EMS field.
Don't be fooled with "smoke and mirrors". Compare apples-to-apples; you get what you pay for. EMS Academy offers our students the opportunity to do (1) shift in an Emergency Department, (1) shift as an observer on an ambulance, our "highlight" field extrication day, and our interactive student website (designed to assist you throughout your course and into your EMS career). Other institutions simply do not offer such comprehensive programs. Also, EMS Academy does not charge an additional fee for "hosting" or "setting up" the practical exam. Although other institution's tuition may appear to be a bit less they will charge you up to $150.00 extra to host or send you to the practical exam (this is in addition to the actual practical exam fee of $150.00 that all students have to pay to the state). EMS Academy believes this is unfair which is why our tuition is all-inclusive.
